Presentation from 2020 Social Justice Fund Grant Recipient: Project Home

Project Home, one of our two Social Justice Fund grant recipients last year, is coming to tell us about their work. They are a grassroots organization that helps asylum seekers move from detention centers into our communities and homes as they await their asylum hearings. The newly formed group established support for three families and one individual seeking asylum, all through donations and enthusiastic volunteer work. (Need we add it was in the midst of a pandemic?) All of the individuals have made great progress, and the organization hopes to add another family this year.

Please set aside time to see how your generous donations to the Social Justice Fund went directly to children and adults in need of our help. Sue Hay, one of the founders, will talk how they got started, what they do, share a few photos, and leave time for questions and conversation. Project Home has had a pretty amazing year! Email Susan Peery for the Zoom link.
